About Us

Applied Archaeology and History Associates, Inc. (AAHA) is a small, women-owned consulting firm established in 1998 to serve the cultural resource needs of clients in the Mid-Atlantic and the wider United States.  While primarily concentrating on archaeological compliance, AAHA provides all aspects of cultural resources services, including archaeological investigations, architectural history, and historic studies.  AAHA focuses its efforts on defining and addressing clients needs with regard to local, state, and federal cultural resource mandates.

Cultural resources compliance is often driven by laws and regulations (local, state, and federal) which mandate consideration of prehistoric and historical remains.  AAHA assists clients in compliance procedures to identify and manage these resources without impeding progress.

Client satisfaction is AAHA’s highest priority.  Our staff has successfully completed all phases of cultural resources studies for small- and large-scale projects.  We take pride in our technical expertise, economical and efficient project management, and effective communications.
